Admission Requirements
Applicants for the DNP-FNP program should hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from a regionally accredited and CCNE or ACEN-accredited program
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact
Prerequisite Coursework
- Undergraduate statistics course covering both descriptive and inferential statistics (grade C or higher)
- Undergraduate research course (grade C or higher)
Additional Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission, applicants must submit:
- Completed online application
- Resume
- Official transcripts from all postsecondary institutions attended
- Personal statement outlining professional goals and alignment with the DNP program
- Two recommendation letters (one academic; one professional/supervisor reference)
- Interview with the Admissions Selection Committee
