The Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education prepares registered nurses for roles in nursing education, staff development and/or patient education. This online program requires 12 credit hours and can be completed in two semesters of part-time study. The Nursing Graduate Certificate course meets the teaching and learning requirement for nurse faculty as required by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NC Administrative Code Rules 21 NCAC 36 .0318(e). The certificate can be applied toward credit for the MSN degree.
