Earn two degrees and save on tuition and fees by completing your first three years at Wilkes Community College and your final year at Appalachian State University.
This 3+1 pathway allows you to complete your Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) at Wilkes Community College (WCC) and then earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from App State Online in as little as one year. Admitted students have the option to choose how quickly they want to finish the program – App State Online offers 1, 2 and 3-year RN to BSN options.
You will benefit from resources shared between App State and WCC. You will work with advisors from both institutions in order to keep you on track to earn your ADN in three years and then complete your bachelor’s degree online at App State while working as a nurse.
Transferring credits
Plan for your classes that will transfer to App State by using our 3+1 Transfer Course Crosswalk. To see whether additional courses taken outside of the ADN may transfer, please use the Transfer Equivalency Course Search.
You can always keep track of your progress using our credit self-evaluation tool.
Application requirements
Transferring to App State from WCC couldn’t be easier. Our 3+1 pathway guarantees admission into the RN to BSN program, as long as you have completed all prerequisite courses, maintain a minimum 2.5 grade-point average for all college coursework and hold a current, unrestricted and unencumbered RN license in North Carolina or a compact state.
