Build on your RN credential and take the next step in your professional journey with App State's RN-BSN program. This online degree is designed for working nurses with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Diploma in Nursing who want to leverage their experience and advance in their field.
You will develop skills in informatics, theory, leadership, research, older adult care, health assessment and community-based nursing. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

- Complete your RN to BSN in 1, 2, or 3 years
- 60 hours total: 30 RN to BSN program hours at App State and 30 hours are awarded for clinical practice and prior learning during program progression

Clinicals
Non-traditional clinical requirements are built into each course. For example, you may be asked to perform a head to toe assessment on an adult, complete a community windshield survey or provide medication education to an older adult.

Students must complete all pre-requisite classes prior to admission in the RN to BSN program and will apply as transfer students (view specific requirements and course options here). All courses in the RN to BSN program must be completed at App State.

Departmental Compliance
Students must attain and meet departmental compliance requirements throughout their program of study. There are set deadlines for attaining compliance and compliance must be maintained throughout the program to ensure continuance in coursework. Wilkes Community College to App State BSN 3+1 pathway
Earn two degrees and save on tuition and fees. This 3+1 pathway allows you to complete your Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) at Wilkes Community College (WCC) and then earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from App State Online in as little as one year.
