RN to BSN Scholarship for Western North Carolina Students
Thanks to Dogwood Health Trust, online RN to BSN students residing in select Western North Carolina counties and the Qualla Boundary have an exciting opportunity for funding. This fund provides scholarship support to students from Western NC enrolled in our RN to BSN program. The scholarship is restricted to residents of the 18 counties served by Dogwood Health Trust: Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Yancey and the Qualla Boundary.
North Carolina Forgivable Education Loan for Service
Established by the North Carolina General Assembly in 2011, the Forgivable Education Loans for Service provides financial assistance to qualified students enrolled in an approved education program and committed to working in critical employment shortage professions in North Carolina. Nursing students for all degrees are eligible to apply for this forgivable loan.
F.A. Davis Nursing Scholarships
The F.A. Davis Nursing scholarships reflect a continuing commitment to the education of nurses and health care professionals and their commitment to quality health care for all. It recognizes the challenging yet rewarding path students embark on and the very special nature of those who have chosen to devote themselves to providing quality care. Applications due annually in November. Award Amount: $1500
AfterCollege-AACN Scholarship Fund
The AfterCollege-AACN Scholarship Fund supports students who are seeking a baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degree in nursing. Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator; students completing an RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN program; and those enrolled in an accelerated program. One scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be awarded each quarter.

Through the establishment of scholarships and endowments, donors support the efforts of students in the College of Health Sciences. Students are encouraged to also check with department chairs and program coordinators regarding regional, state and national opportunities.
