Sarah Martin, MSN, RNC-OB, AHN-BC

Sarah Martin is a clinical faculty member in the Department of Nursing, joining Appalachian State University full-time in 2018. She received the Appalachian State University, Beaver College of Health Sciences Excellence in Teaching award in 2020. Mrs. Martin has a clinical background in maternal/child nursing including obstetrics, mother/baby, general pediatrics, and pediatric cardiology in both rural and urban care settings.

Sarah is a member of the Association for Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA), and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. She volunteers across the community in a number of women and children’s health capacities.

Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, including her husband and two sons.
