Makayla Brock earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Appalachian State University in 2019 and began her nursing career in cardiothoracic and vascular post-surgical care. Following this experience, she began working in the critical care setting and pursued her MSN in Nursing Education at UNCW. After completing this degree in 2021, Makayla worked as an adjunct nursing instructor in the community college setting for two years before returning to Appalachian State as an adjunct clinical instructor. In 2024, she accepted a full-time clinical faculty position and is currently working towards her DNP at East Carolina University.
Makayla lives in Wilkes County with her husband and four small children and cherishes every moment spent with her family.
