Ashley Greene, MSN, RN

Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Appalachian State University before deciding to pursue her Diploma in Nursing from Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte, NC. After graduation she began her career in neuro intensive critical care in 2011. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Appalachian University while working full time as a school health nurse. Her passion for education was discovered during her diploma nursing program and when she began instructing Certified Nursing Assistant students at a local community college. While working as a school health nurse, Ashley obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree with an education focus at The University of North Carolina Wilmington. Her clinical background includes neuro intensive critical care, maternal/child nursing care in both inpatient and community care settings as well as school health services. She accepted a full-time clinical faculty position at Appalachian State in 2024 after 10 years of school health nursing. Ashley hopes to continue her education in nursing in the near future.

Ashley is a Nationally Certified School nurse and is interested in developing opportunities for school health nurses in the area to maintain clinical skills so they can best provide for students in rural settings.

Ashley currently resides in Boone with her husband and three children.
