Kimberly Priode, PhD, RN, CNE, CCRN

I am very excited to be teaching with the ASU nursing faculty. Originally from the mountains of western Virginia, North Carolina has become home for my family including my husband, our two Malamutes, and two kitties. I hold diplomas from Radford University with a BSN, UNCG with a MSN, and my PhD is from East Carolina University. I currently hold certifications as a Nurse Educator from the League for Nursing as well as certification from the Association of Critical Care Nurses. My research interest has for several years been centered upon nursing student matriculation, graduation, and successful performance on the NCLEX-RN examination. Other areas of research include student performance in simulation, nursing student diversity, and the disparity of health issues especially within the Appalachian culture. The majority of my clinical experience stems from staff and management in Neuro-Trauma Intensive Care as well as Administrative Director and supervision of a local regional medical center. I currently hold membership in Sigma Theta Tau, The Southern Nursing Research Society, The National League for Nursing, The American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and The North Carolina Association of Nurses.
